Every ocean or river cruise line, has some version of a guest loyalty programs, just airlines have.
Ocean and river cruise lines reward loyal frequent cruises with a myriad of perks, and dependent upon your loyalty level, you’ll be invited to an exclusive formal cocktail party, extra credit, express embarkation, maybe a discount off of your stateroom.
But, the great news is you don’t have to have sailed on a dozen cruises to enroll in a cruise line loyalty program. All of the lines permit past passengers to become members after their first sailing and start accumulating points right away.
Viking Cruises have made waves and taken “loyalty program” to a whole new level.
Viking Cruises, whose title today covers both Viking River Cruises and Viking Ocean, has their Viking Explorer Society for past ocean and river cruisers. .
But this article wont be explaining a past passenger program.
The Viking Cruises Referral Rewards program is unique. Essentially, you are “rewarded” for each person you refer that books a Viking ocean or river cruise.
How Does Viking Referral Rewards Work?
Initially, you must be a past Viking ocean or river passenger, alternatively have a booking and paid your deposit then start calling and emailing your friends and family! Not asking them to necessarily cruise on the same cruise as you, they can pick out any ocean or river cruise.
For each different friend or family member that you refer, you collect $200 (but this is on a monopoly game, you don’t need to go past go) this is real! Refer a couple and you obtain $400. Each referred person is given $100 on their first cruise. The referral reward money for both guests can then be put towards your cruise price only; it’s doesn’t come in the form of onboard credit. But still, money is money.
So How Do I Get My Free Cruise?
Through the duration of each calendar year, you refer your 13th new-to-Viking traveller (hope you’re not superstitious), you’ll be given one FREE cruise, up to the value of $3,300.
Your Viking Referral Rewards credits can be combined with the cost of your cruise, too, should the price go beyond $3,300.
It’s simple to receive your Referral Rewards credit your friends or family must disclose your full name and customer number when they book their cruise, either through your cruise consultant or directly with Viking.
Like all upgrades, there’s the dull fine print to splash through but it’s explained perfectly on the Viking Referral Rewards Form .
It’s as simple as 1,2,3.
- Choose either Viking Ocean or Viking River
- Pay your deposit
- Get your friends or family to take a Viking cruise.
Then wallah you both receive your monetary rewards. That what I call a win-win program.
