Refurbished Silversea’s Silver Explorer Makes Waves

Silversea Expeditions is pleased to share new images of Silver Explorer, following an stylish refurbishment earlier this year.

The redesigned Silver Explorer accommodates 144 guests in all-inclusive intimate luxury, cruising to the world’s most remote destinations - from the Arctic, Antarctica and Africa to the Americas, French Polynesia and the Russian Far East.

As a major aspect of Silversea’s $170 million fleet wide refurbishment program, a significant investment has been made to ensure that guests appreciate a restored feeling of space and comfort while cruising on board Silver Explorer.

The new look offers a revived atmosphere throughout, fulfilled through invigorated hues plans, colours schemes, new upholstery, extravagant furniture and fixtures.

Silver Explorer’s public areas have experienced a complete transformation, with the Observation Lounge, Panorama Lounge and Connoisseur’s Corner including new furniture, and the restaurant’s buffet counters, ceiling and walls all refashioned with new upholstery.

The theatre’s bar has been upgraded with invigorated banquette seats, while The Grill has received a shiny new awning. Another boutique has replacing the library, and the spa and fitness centre have both doubled in size, replacing the original boutique.

The ship’s all-suite accommodation has been restyled, with the dominant part of bathrooms on board exhibiting new flooring, granite appointments and rainforest showers (replacing tub-and-shower combinations).

Suites with verandas have gotten new veranda furniture, while the vessel’s eight Expedition Suites have been changed over into 16 Vista and View Suites, with most featuring an a connecting door for the accommodation of families and companions travelling together.

In 2018, Silver Explorer will debut a unique collection of voyages through the Americas, tracing a path north from Ushuaia, the city at the end of the world, all the way up the Pacific coastline to the multicultural vibrant hub of Vancouver.
